Watch Waverly's Runway Appearance

And check out our June and July 2024 book talk schedule!

Hello Friends!

Just a quick reminder that “Waverly Braves the Breeze: The Story of a Galapagos Albatross” will be heading to Madison this Saturday and next. I'll be doing 11 a.m. book talks and signings at Mystery to Me book store (which will also be streamed online June 22nd) and Barnes and Noble - West (June 29th). Hope to see you there!

Already have a copy? Thank you!! If you feel so inclined, I'd love it if you could leave a review on Goodreads and/or Amazon to help more people learn about the book and Waverly's message of bravery, friendship, and conservation.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement!

Waverly's runway debut!

The Madison Reading Project's Read(y) to Wear paper fashion show and fundraiser at The Sylvee last week was a night to remember, raising over $120k for the nonprofit to continue providing free books and literacy resources to local children, families, and educators.

Our team, Hot Off The Press, was sponsored by The Capital Times, who provided dozens of recycled newspapers for us to create our Galapagos waved albatross-themed inspiration, designed and modeled by my wonderfully talented childhood neighbor and friend, Becky Vickroy. My sister and Becky's sister and mom joined us to celebrate the evening. We had so much fun!

Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement for my first children’s picture book release! And an extra special thanks to my friend and fellow children’s book author Kitty O’Meara for signing copies of her three books to join mine for a silent auction item. Thank you to our friends at Tra for donating them for a great cause!

Now the only question is, will my new story be finished by 2025 to provide inspiration for next year’s fashion show?

How To Purchase Your Own Copy

I’ve received some great questions from several people about the best way to order my book. Some bookstores already have it on their shelves, and you can always request that they order it if you can't find it. Otherwise, you can use this link on Amazon, or through Tra Publishing, which supports an organization that plants a tree for each book ordered, or at Bookshop.org, which helps support your favorite local bookstore in the process.

Thank you again! I look forward to sharing more updates soon!
