Join Samantha Cora, local author and creator of Playful Acorns, and LC Babywearing for a short walk on the trails behind Alicia Ashman Library. Get fitted for a baby carrier, listen to stories, look for birds, and explore. The event is free.

About the event
Join us for a relaxing birding and nature connection gathering for parents of babies and toddlers (older kids are welcome).
Samantha, a local author and nature nerd with Playful Acorns, will share some birding picture books and lead a relaxed nature walk as we listen and look for birds, animal tracks, and other signs of fall through the fields around the library. Leslie, a local babywearing expert with LC Babywearing, will bring a selection of baby carriers along if you'd like to try something new during our walk, and she will also offer fit checks for carriers that people bring along with them.
Learn about the birding backpacks that you can check out from the Madison Public Library!Geared toward ages 0-3 with caregivers. All ages are welcome. No advanced registration required. In partnership with Madison Public Library, Nature Everywhere, and the Aldo Leopold Nature Center.
