We’re two weeks away from the official start of spring, and we can’t wait to offer more nature-based programming! As we transition to warmer weather, we’ll still be easing into the outdoors by holding classes indoors close to parks and trails. This month’s Playful Acorns events include two different music classes (one paired with a yoga class and another featuring a nature craft) and our last Lil’ Explorer Play Cafe for the season at the Lussier Family Heritage Center since it will soon be the hub for spring and summer educational programs and camps. Music and Yoga in Verona
March 8 (10-11 a.m. Friday):
Connect with other caregivers and kids (geared toward ages 0-5, older siblings welcome) for a Kindermusik class led by Angie followed by a yoga and mindfulness class led by Dani of little om BIG OM, at The Wonder Studio, 1043 N Edge Trail, Verona. ($16 for adult/child or $25 for adult with more than one child - Registration required).

Lil’ Explorer Pop-Up Play Cafe
March 14 (9-11 a.m. Thursday):
Meet Lussier Family Heritage Center ambassador animals, have a blast in a laid back nature-themed play space, engage in sensory art and craft projects, and enjoy a morning coffee, tea, or snack, and wander outdoors to the Story Walk®, prairie, and nature play ground! ($10 for adult/child - Registration required).

Music and Nature Craft in Waunakee
March 19 (9:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday):
Let’s celebrate the first day of spring at the Waunakee Public Library! Catherine with Music Together Madtown will lead a half hour music class, followed by Weslie from Outdoors We Learn and Christie from Naturing in Madison showing us how to make wearable crafts with flowers and natural things you find outside the library. ($16 adult/child or $25 for adult with more than one child - Registration required).

Mini & Me Yoga in Middleton
April/May** (9-10 a.m. Thursdays):
Ease into your mornings with playful movement and stories during indoor yoga and mindfulness classes led by Dani with little om BIG OM at Lakeview Park, Middleton. We’ll also play with toys, read stories, go for a walk outside, and visit the playground. The 4-week Spring Session will be held April 4 & 18 and May 9 & 16 ($60 for Middleton residents, $80 for non-residents). Register by March 28th!
